This one is from ecromper.com LONG SINCE FORGOTTEN-The Theft Evo Recordings Upstate New Yorkers Long Since Forgotten play crunchy indie rock with strong pop sensibilities. In other words- the boys know how to write a good hook as heard in tracks like Hot House, The Waltz and the surprisingly catchy acoustic feel of Vegas. Sure, The Theft is a lot lighter than what I would normally listen to on a regular basis but LSF do a good job at what they do and the tracks I mentioned are worth a listen. www.longsinceforgotten.net written by: Samuel Adams date submitted: 9/30/2007 5:21:51 PM 10.13.2007 @ So it appears that the newspapers have already made our most recent misfortune known to a lot of you already. Incase that isn't the case I will fill the rest of you in. At around 6pm on Wednesday we noticed that our trailer padlock had been cut off with bolt cutters and several things were missing. After determining that this wasn't some prank we called the police who took our statement and an itemized list of what was missing (a guitar, a bass, a guitar stand case, and 2 cases with effects pedals). After a band discussion about the who what when where why and how's, we decided to take a break for the night and do some thinking about what we needed to do. Around 9:30pm I went on Ebay, after thinking about a similar think that happened to a friends band. I logged in and did a quick search for a few of the items and sorted them by closest to my location. There it was. no more than 4 hours after we discovered it missing, was Jeff's guitar, listed with serial number, detailed to the very scuff marks and straplocks still in tact. I asked my room mate to send the seller a message about an unrelated item. The next morning the seller wrote back with his address and phone number which we then matched to a pawn shop on West Genessee St. Later that day, accompanied by the officer that took our statement and some detectives that were straight out of Court T.V. we went to said pawn shop and recovered Jeff's Telecaster and Caleb's p bass. We are very thankful for the Syracuse police cooperation in helping to retrieve these items. To the people who stole our belongings: You are scum. I hope the amount of crack you purchased with the whopping $200 you got from the pawn shop was worth it. You will get what you deserve someday. Still missing: A pedal case containing the following pedals - Line 6 DL4, MXR Dynacomp, Voodoo labs sparkle drive, Big Muff, Boss Tuner and MXR eq, and various guitar cables and power cords. Another pedal case containing the following - Lie 6 DL4, little big muff, Boss Tuner, Rat pedal, MXR eq, DC brick, Wireless guitar system, and various guitar cables and power cords. If you have any information about the whereabouts of any of these items please contact us! -JOSH- LSF |
